Color Blocking is too cute and fun. I call it "Popsicle Fashion" I call it that because it's always "cool"! Sheri has done an excellent job making fashion look fun. Also her Blue blazer is refreshing and will take her to fall as well! Sheri has blended some classic pieces (white shirt0) and( nude shoe) the this "on trend" look.
There is another expression of chic fashion, which is the color white. I attended Lizz Russell's charity fashion show at the WestGate hotel in San Diego. A great way to wear white in the evening is by adding a camel color blazer, camel fishnet stockings and nude color shoes. This is chic, modern, and a fresh intro into summer 2012.

Playing with the color wheel/ Spring to Summer transition
Navy blue and green is alsway a clever and saavy combination. Blending these colors show you are willing to stretch. I have made look transition from spring into summer with white accessories(watch). A camel colored cap and light deco earrings.
June Nights........
The photo to the left is me in a classic blazer, jean shorts and nude heels. I rarely use my self as an example, but this look created a "pear" silhouette on me. Notice in the photo below, my shorts cute as thery are, have an attached belt. If you have a considerable amount of hips and thighs you will want to avoid anything that adds volume or "size to that area. Other than that this is a nice summer evening option.

Brandy at the Billboard Awards. This look is a bit confusing. Brandy, Herve' Le'ger, has a sculpted form-fitting look. However this is not what Herve' Le'ger is giving off this evening. Brandy definitely has the right figure, however this fit is not giving off the sexy look, Herve' Le'ger is known for. This dress is adding weight on Brandy and disfiguring her. It's not slimming at all. And the hair........ this may have been an attempt to pay hommage to Ms. Donna Summer, if so it was unsuccessful. Brandy has a unique look. The right stylist can really turn her personal style around. Brandy call me!

Dishonoring "White"
Ok Miley..... Ummmmm. Ok. Rule of thumb, when you are wearing something revealing you need to offset the big reveal with covering up the opposite end. That helps it look tasteful. The "do" Miley has going on is wearing white. Another observation, is the jacket looked a little ill fitted. It should have been more oversized and boyish or tailored to look more feminne. Had she covered up a little more and stayed tasteful this look would have been a stunner!

On set of Oceanside Spectrum.............
Working on KOCT station with Elaine Swann the host of " Oceanside Spectrum" is full of excitement. Putting together the "look" of the host is intriguing and artful every month. Keeping a "fresh" look for the show is what I love most about my craft.
Elaine is wearing a super cute boutique look. Ensemble is the store that provided us with the clothes this month.
Elaine is wearing fitted cargo jeans with a violet lace blouse on top. To complete this look, I've put her on a military inspired curdoroy crop jacket. These romantic colors are a great peak into 2011's color pallet.

Transition to Fall.......
It is fall and, transitioning into fall wardrobe is a very tricky thing, especially in California. This look is "California fall". Maya is wearing an asymmetrical Indonesian inspired blouse, with a classic black "mini". The top of the look makes a great pallet for her red heels. This look is great with "fish nets" for a night out on the crisp town. The paisley decoration on the top is what really sets this look apart from other "mini" and black top looks.

Meeting Shane&Shawn the shoe designers
I am a true shoe buff! (what woman isn’t) but I am a lady that leans more towards instant classics, and if you are looking for a boot that will stand the test of trends and bring a non-chalant, edgy elegance to a skirt or pair of jeans, I would recommend SHANE&SHAWN’s “Anne Brown” boot. This looks like a comfortable boot. It is stylish; it has clean lines and just the right amount of design to cross-over from the Saturday shopping outfit with jeans, to the business mixer with an army green shirt dress and chocolate blazer.

More looks from the Black Enterprise Entreprenuers Conference

There were some great expression of style at this convention. (The upper left) Angela M. Childs the virtual assistant extraordinaire, did an extraordinary job setting herself apart from the rest. Her look and use of color is reminiscent of designs by Missoni. Her thick red belt is defininitely a tool used in Missoni's spring 2010 collection.
Speaking of setting yourself apart (lower left) Alfred A. Edmond Jr. has this art of networking down. He has been a part of the Black Enterprise family for a number of years. He has done this all the while sporting his signature bow tie. Alfred is wearing a black suit with yellow tie and handkerchief. Many commented on how his look sent a postive radiance in every room he entered.
I'm going to close this portion out with some more positive energy. Mary Major is just beaming in her white power suit. I am not sure who her suit is by but I do remember that the designer Ralph Lauren was the designing face of the "Power Suit" in the early 80's.
The look Mary is expressing is springy ,professional and dynamic. Mary designs her own jewelry line to complete her looks. Mary's N-ER-G keeps her in perfect fashion step always.

For Us By Us!
I am standing here with fashion and business mogul Daymond John. Daymond is the CEO and President of Fubu Fashions. Daymond changed the fashion industry for the “hip hop” generation forever. When one of urban america's favorite designers like Timberland excluded a certain urban clientele, Daymond, being the business mogul he is, saw an opportunity to serve that client base and pursue what he loved. Daymond John created FUBU which stands for For Us By Us. Daymond's brand of clothing became the Black-Owned, fashion stop for hip-hop artists for over a decade. Client’s like LL Cool J and Run DMC were the key player’s to put the historic street wear line on the map.

Black Enterprise Entreprenuer's Conference
Hello! You guys the I went to the Black Enterprise Entreprenuers Conference. It was a fabulous experience. It was a great opportunity to meet fellow entreprenuers and network. No matter what industry you are in or wanting to pursue there was someone there that you could potentially do businesse with. The great thing about this gathering was that even though there were a lot of "out of towners" these professionals came with it and came to play! Every mixer and speaker brought out these professionals and they all had there "A" game.
But I want to take a moment to talk about the looks!!! I had a fantastic time being inspired by the attendee's of the conference. Not only was I inspired in the business sense but the fashion that took place there was phenomenal! For instance check out the look that this gentleman is sporting. This is Amos Winbush III, The winner of the 2010 Innovator Of The Year Award. I would also give him the "Style Statement" of the year award as well! Amos is laced in Brooks Brother threads and Salvatore Ferrigamo shoes. This look exudes confidence, and "old money" style. I'll admit at first glance I would of called it to be Ralph Lauren's Purple Label, But it was no shock to find out that it was Brooks Brother's. The resemblence is authentic, reason being Brooks Brother's is where Ralph Lauren got his start in the fashion industry. Amos is wearing a gingham styled shirt, navy and white pin stripped blazer, genuine leather belt, blue bowtie accented with pink stripes, pink and white polka handkerchief with light pink slacks. I say if you are a 6"2 black man wearing pink pants and blue bowtie, this is how you do it! Amos you are a style star!!!

Fashionably San Diego Fashion Show!
Hello Fashionista's. It's been a minute but I'm back with some fashion tid bits for you. I attended the Fashionably San Diego fashion show at Bloomingdales. I saw some great inspiration there! My choice pic to share with you is this fabulous, "running with the elite" summer look. My goodness this is a very regal yet fun look. Either the model really sold this outfit or the stylist Vanessa did an excellent job putting this look together.
I really like this military inspired summer look. The white summer blazer really adds a twist to the gray blouse and like colored heels. This is a desirable look for summer and is likely to inspire the wardrobe of a lot of San Diegans this year!
